We’re Serenity Coloring, LLC. This page explains what information we collect when you visit serenitycoloring.com or sign up for our newsletter, what we do with it, and what your rights are. We’ve tried to write it the way a normal person speaks.

What information do we collect?

WHEN YOU SIGN UP FOR THE NEWSLETTER

We collect:

• Your email address
• The date and time you signed up
• Whether you confirmed your subscription (we use a “double opt-in” — you’ll get an email asking you to confirm, and you’re not subscribed until you click the link)

That’s everything. We don’t ask for your name, your location, or anything else.

WHEN YOU VISIT THE SITE

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to see how many people visit our pages and where they came from (Pinterest, Instagram, Google, etc.). Plausible records, in aggregate:

• The page you visited (e.g., /catalog)
• The website that referred you (e.g., pinterest.com)
• Your country (not your city or address)
• Your browser type and device type (e.g., Chrome on iPhone)

Plausible does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, and does not build any kind of profile of you. We can’t identify individual visitors from this data. You can read Plausible’s data policy for the technical details.

WHEN YOU CONTACT US

If you email us or fill out the contact form, we receive whatever information you choose to send: your name, your email address, and the contents of your message. We only use that information to reply to you.

Emailing us or filling out the contact form does not subscribe you to the newsletter — those are two separate things. If you want the newsletter, you have to sign up for it directly.

How do we use your information?

Email subscribers: To send you the free Serene Sampler PDF you requested, and to send occasional newsletters about new books, free pages, and updates from Serenity. That’s it.

Site visitors: To understand which pages are popular, where our visitors come from, and how to improve the site.

People who contact us: To reply to your message. That’s it.

We don’t use any of this for advertising, profiling, retargeting, or selling to anyone.

Who do we share information with?

We use a small number of trusted vendors to help us run the business. They each see only the data they need:

We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers. We never give it to anyone outside this short list, except if legally required (court order, subpoena, etc.).

A NOTE ABOUT MAILERLITE TRACKING

MailerLite, like every newsletter platform, sees when emails are opened or links are clicked. This is the standard way email platforms measure deliverability — to know that your inbox actually got the message. We see this in aggregate (e.g., “44% of subscribers opened this issue”), not as a detailed log of your personal activity.

Cookies

The Serenity Coloring website does not use any tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. Plausible Analytics is cookie-free.

The only cookies that may be set on your visit are strictly necessary ones used by:

• The newsletter signup form (a small cookie to remember if you’ve already submitted)
• WordPress itself, if you’re logging into the admin area (which only the site owner can do)

These cookies don’t track you across other sites, aren’t used for advertising, and don’t require your consent under GDPR.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you have a few basic rights:

• The right to know what information we have about you
• The right to correct anything that’s wrong
• The right to delete your information (“right to be forgotten”)
• The right to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time

To exercise any of these rights, just email us at colormecalm@serenitycoloring.com. We’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re a subscriber, you can also unsubscribe directly using the link at the bottom of every email — instant, no questions asked.

SPECIFIC NOTES FOR SOME PLACES

EU/UK visitors (GDPR): You have the rights above, plus the right to data portability, the right to object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California visitors (CCPA): You have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of sale. We don’t sell personal information.

Children: Our coloring books are wonderful for all ages, but our newsletter signup is intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect email addresses from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we’ll delete the data right away.

How long do we keep your data?

Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, plus a short retention period after that to honor the unsubscribe (typically 30 days).

Contact form messages: typically up to 1 year, then deleted unless we’re still in active conversation with you.

Plausible analytics data: anonymized aggregate, retained indefinitely. Since it can’t be tied to you, this is fine.

Security

We use HTTPS encryption for everything on the site, and we choose vendors (MailerLite, Plausible, Hostinger) who maintain industry-standard security practices. No system is 100% secure, but we take it seriously.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything significant, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and let our newsletter subscribers know in advance.
